Agree on three things before hunting
Choose a target caller, a meeting point and a retreat signal. Everyone needs to understand the same instruction before coordinating abilities.
Assign roles by condition, not just species
A healthy player familiar with the terrain can scout ahead; a recovering player needs a lower-pressure position. Roles change after exchanges rather than remaining fixed all session.
- Scout: report position and direction without starting an isolated fight.
- Engage: leave room for teammates to enter or leave.
- Watch the rear: report new arrivals and maintain the meeting point.
Use short, verifiable calls
Use shared landmarks such as a road, bank or rocky slope, and identify who is being chased. “Retreat to the road, meet at the junction” is clearer than “run”. Avoid talking over an urgent report.
Rotate before exhaustion
After an exchange, make room for the player who needs recovery. Avoid entering together when the position causes teammates to obstruct one another. If someone loses contact or falls behind, stop extending the chase and regroup.
Server rules come before the lineup
Check group limits, mixed-species rules and carcass contests. Team Picker plans a lineup; its output neither authorises that lineup on every server nor guarantees victory.
Sources and scope
Tactical decisions and checklists are EFG editorial suggestions. The references below provide mechanic guidance or update announcements; community sources may lag behind the game. Check the branch, version and server rules when information differs.
