Prepare supplies before nesting

Agree on available time, food sources and who will care for hatchlings. A quickly placed nest without support can lead to repeated emergency trips.

Check the in-game requirements

Community guidance describes same-species, opposite-sex pairing and female gestation in the Nest panel, which consumes resources. Check the prompts for your species and version rather than assuming an older video covers every requirement.

The community reference uses held N for each partner’s courtship response. Build the nest and complete gestation before laying; check pairing status and in-game prompts at each step.

Choose the site around supply routes

Balance access to water, food and visibility. Nearby resources do not ensure safety if the site is a busy passage. Keep a clear approach so supply trips do not lead threats straight into the nest.

  • Survey the route with your current species, not just a map.
  • Agree on a meeting point if the nesting area is threatened.
  • Keep someone watching while others obtain food.

Share hatchling care

Watch hatchling prompts and status, then confirm who is responding. Avoid having everyone forage at once or crowd the approach. New arrivals should know the server rules and communication method from the start.

Verify inheritance before promising a build

If nesting serves a particular build, check the current mutation mechanics separately. This guide covers coordination and does not promise identical statistics or choices for every hatchling.

Tactical decisions and checklists are EFG editorial suggestions. The references below provide mechanic guidance or update announcements; community sources may lag behind the game. Check the branch, version and server rules when information differs.
