Overview and gameplay loop
Use the shoreline to change the fight.
Austroraptor suits players who like changing attack angles along the shoreline. Check both the bank and the river before pouncing; use water jump to switch sides while you still have stamina. Water is a movement route, not a safe refuge when Deinosuchus is nearby.
+Highly mobile near water
+Unpredictable escape routes
+Large group limit
−Light and vulnerable to one-shots
−Balance data is still new
−A bad pounce quickly drains stamina

Combat and unique abilities
Your primary bite and camera-directed bite; both can also be used while jumping.
Pounce onto a target; prioritize small prey or opponents that have lost their balance.
Leap out of the water to reach shore, clear an obstacle or change direction.
Stand at the water's edge, face a fish school and press G to enter the spearfishing stance, using the same core mechanic as Pteranodon.
Survival and environmental interactions
Rivers and shallow banks are your main escape route
Use water jump to reverse a pursuit
Watch for Deinosuchus in murky water
Open banks make tracks and fish easier to spot
EInteractWallow at a mud pool to reduce tracks and scent for a while.
QScentScent while standing still to read water, diet, carcasses, tracks and distant zones.
GCarcass interactionCorpse handling: tap to tear off a chunk; hold to drag or carry it when mass allows.
HRestRest / safe logout: rest out of sight; never lie on a trail or directly between others and water.
All basic controls +
Use SHIFT to sprint and Z to switch trot or walk for tighter turns.
Hold longer for greater range; tap Q to open the compass.
Eat, drink, wallow, use nests and interact with resources.
Tap to tear off a chunk; hold to drag or carry a valid object.

Damage by ability
Actual damage also depends on mass, hitbox, attack direction, bleed and server balance. The table separates fixed values from scaling abilities to avoid treating community figures as absolute damage.
Community reference for Bite; actual results still vary with mass, hitbox and server balance.
Pounce scales with target state, mass, speed or contact conditions; use the listed value as a reference rather than guaranteed damage.
Community reference for Water Jump; actual results still vary with mass, hitbox and server balance.
Recommended mutations
This list is the species-wide foundation. After choosing a build below, follow its dedicated loadout order instead of keeping the general priority.
Improves swimming speed and control in water.
Extends safe time underwater.
Improves stamina uptime for repeated movement and ability rotations.
Improves visibility while submerged.
Two builds & detailed guides
Choose the role you want to play in this life. These are EFG tactical recommendations, not universal meta builds for every matchup.
River hunter
Keep the terrain advantage in water.
Always keep one route back to shore and never spend the last of your stamina in deep water.
Choose in order from 01 → 04
Prioritize the first mutation in the list. If it is unavailable or slot-limited, use the next option and check again at the next milestone.
Improves swimming speed and underwater repositioning.
Increases oxygen capacity for longer dives, hides and hunts.
Lowers the stamina-regeneration threshold and requires an activity unlock.
UNLOCK REQUIRED · Slot 2 or 3Improves underwater vision for reading targets and terrain.
TACTICAL GAMEPLAY LOOP
Find fish or frogs on a safe bank; do not cross the middle of the river.
Scout the bank → force the target to run parallel to water → pounce → water-jump to the other side → leave before stamina runs out.
Always keep one route back to shore and never spend the last of your stamina in deep water.
CONDITIONS FOR THIS BUILD

Pounce pack
Rotate pounce attempts with teammates.
Release each pounce on rotation and regroup at the shoreline; never let the whole pack run out of stamina on one target.
Choose in order from 01 → 04
Prioritize the first mutation in the list. If it is unavailable or slot-limited, use the next option and check again at the next milestone.
Speeds up health regeneration and reduces downtime.
Lowers the stamina-regeneration threshold and requires an activity unlock.
UNLOCK REQUIRED · Slot 2 or 3Increases damage against bleeding targets.
Improves bleed resistance during trades or pack pressure.
TACTICAL GAMEPLAY LOOP
Practice water jump before pouncing players.
Scout the bank → force the target to run parallel to water → pounce → water-jump to the other side → leave before stamina runs out.

Growth time, mass and diet
Austroraptor from 0% to 100%
Before Adult: one nutrient gives 100% growth speed, two give 200%, and all three give 300%. Diet does not speed up Elder ageing at 75–100%. The table assumes a 1× server.
Crab, Schooling Fish, Clam
Bullfrog, Chicken, Rabbit, Deino, Hypsi
Beipi, Elite Fish, Psittacosaurus, Sea Turtle
Maintain α, β and γ together for 300% Growth. Each bar only needs a remaining value; when one reaches zero, speed immediately drops to the corresponding tier.
AI spawns by region and player/server density; spawn descriptions refer to habitat types, not guaranteed coordinates.
A tiny round ground bird that runs in a zigzag and vanishes in grass.
Near trails, forest edges and active player areas; suitable prey for juveniles.Extremely small with long ears and short bursts of speed; difficult to see in tall grass.
Grassland and forest edges; it is often noticed only after it starts running.A large, low green-brown frog that stays close to wet ground and shorelines.
Swamps, riverbanks and wet areas; search slowly along the water instead of sprinting through the zone.Flat armor and side claws, moving sideways across sand or rock.
Coasts, mudflats and very shallow water; scan along the shoreline.Small groups create ripples or moving silhouettes close to the surface.
Rivers, lakes and open water; Pteranodon and Austroraptor use fishing stances while swimmers can chase directly.A large solitary fish with a clearer silhouette than schooling fish and the ability to fight back.
Deep enough water around active AI systems; no single lake guarantees a spawn.A small bivalve resting on the bottom and blending into sand or mud.
Shallow bottoms, tidal flats and shorelines; Beipiaosaurus and Austroraptor should search the bottom slowly. An oval shell and broad flippers; larger and slower than schooling fish.
Coastal shallows near shore; locations change with server AI density.A small bipedal dinosaur with a beaked head; low to the ground and fast.
Land AI near bushes, forest edges and active players; use its call to find direction.Prime stats for Austroraptor

Austroraptor was discovered in Patagonia and was a large dromaeosaur from the Late Cretaceous.

Reconstructing Austroraptor
A Austroraptor reconstruction by Fred Wierum. The form reflects the artist’s interpretation of evidence; coloration and soft tissues should not be treated as a photograph of the living animal.

Reading the body proportions
Austroraptor cabazai mount at the Dinosaurios más allá de la extinción exhibition in Copiapó. A skeletal mount can include restored parts; not every detail should be read as original bone.

Two parts of the jaws
Austroraptor upper and lower jaw bones in a research figure by Agnolin and colleagues (2019). The labels identify anatomical features, not the game's fishing abilities.
Its relatively conical teeth and lower tooth count suggest a different diet from many raptors; a fish-eating hypothesis remains debated.
EVRIMA emphasizes a semi-aquatic lifestyle to create a distinct waterside predator role.
